Ep 26: Get Ahead by Doing Less: Career Advice to Women Leaders with Lise Alm

Episode show notes:

It’s easy to believe that the harder you work and the longer hours you put in, the more successful you become.

Lise Alm, shares times in her career when the opposite was true. When she started saying no, setting boundaries, managing expectations, and leaving work at a reasonable time, her performance doubled which was widely acknowledged around her.

Lise is a lawyer, business developer, angel investor, and board professional with a mixed background from the tech and start-up world. Together with another power-woman, she runs ThinkAloud, a newly started consultancy firm that advises on strategy and operations for companies in change.

In parallel, she is a member of several UN-led expert groups with a focus on the global digital economy, is co-founder and chairperson of a bunch of companies, and has held roles such as M&A lawyer, legal counsel at Spotify, Chief Strategy Officer at Worldfavour & Head of BD at the SCC Arbitration Institute.

She’s been around, to say the least.

I truly loved my conversation with Lise as we discussed sustainability in a high-performance world, her zone of genius, her mindset, and her strategies when it comes to taking on new challenges. She also shares career advice that turns things a bit upside down and a lot more.

I hope you will enjoy it.
